Why Does Our Mind Always Go Against Us?

Why Does Our Mind Always Go Against Us?

Most people don’t realize that their mind is the root cause of their problems, so they blame external factors like people, circumstances, or even luck. Suppose you have an idea to start a new business, but instead of executing it, you start making excuses—lack of capital, resources, or connections. This mindset indicates that you are unconscious of the real problem.

A normal person would blame circumstances, luck, family, or even God. Before understanding why our mind works against us, we must first become aware of it.

The Root of the Problem

Our mind is programmed by information from our surroundings since childhood. Everything we consume—through school, family, media, and society—gets stored in our subconscious. Unfortunately, much of this information is negative, which leads to negative self-talk.

Whenever we think of doing something new, we doubt ourselves and imagine everything that could go wrong. This happens because of the outdated programming running our system.

The Solution: Reprogramming the Mind

If the software in our mind is flawed, the solution is simple: install new software to overwrite the old one. I call this process the Success Formula, which consists of two key steps:

1. Expand Your Awareness

Reading this blog or watching insightful videos helps increase awareness of the real problem. Instead of blaming luck or external factors, you’ll recognize that your own mind is working against you.

Awareness acts as an internal alarm system. When negative information enters your mind, you must initiate Operation Reject—blocking thoughts that hinder your growth.

2. Install New Software

Now that you understand that self-doubt stems from outdated programming, how do you shift from doubt to confidence? The simplest way is affirmations.

Daily Affirmations to Reprogram Your Mind:

  • I am very confident.
  • I feel confident.
  • I am full of courage; I am courageous.
  • I can do it.
  • I will do it.

Your vocabulary must include powerful words like confidence, courage, willpower, focus, and determination. The words we speak program our minds and bodies. Repeating these affirmations at least twice a day—once in the morning and once before bed—can accelerate this transformation.

The Success Formula: Awareness + New Software = Success

For example, if your home was flooded due to heavy rainfall, you’d take precautions the next year to protect your valuables. Where did this preparedness come from? Awareness.

This formula works in every aspect of life. Awareness helps you recognize problems before they happen, and affirmations help you replace doubt with confidence.

If you consistently follow these two steps, you will notice a transformation in your life. This one formula can help you navigate any difficult situation and achieve lasting success.
